There Is a lot of wisdom out there from Confucius. Today I’m looking at this one and will use it as a reminder to keep on going. It doesn’t matter if you’re going very slow, taking your time is better than doing nothing.

I’ll use my blogging as an example. Maybe I’m having a really bad day, I’m in pain and just can’t imagine doing any blog work. However, if I stop and think about it there’s probably some little thing I can do.
I can reply to a comment or two or I can come up with a topic to write on or a quote for a W.O.W. These things only take a minute and don’t require much brain power.
The point is to move forward even if it’s a fraction of a step. Just don’t stop! Usually, if we’re honest with ourselves we can do some small step even on our worst days.
If you’re learning something new you can view one tutorial or read one paragraph on the topic. Find something that works for you and somehow, keep moving forward. Tiny baby steps are absolutely fine!
If you’re working on some creative endeavor do one small thing. Write down an idea, write one sentence or one line of poetry, sew one seam, hammer one nail, etc.
You get the idea. Success is just moving forward. Will it take longer to reach your target goal? Probably, but you will most likely have days when you feel energetic, creative and driven. On those days do as much as you can, as much as you want to, you’ll make up for the slow days.

What do you do on days you don’t feel like working on your goal or project? I do take a day or two off each week. On weekends I only respond to comments. I have other personal projects I work on like my crochet, sewing or drawing. I’d love to hear how you deal with bad days, sick days or days you just don’t feel like doing anything. Drop me a note in the comments.
