The COME & C series is an idea I came up with in October to consider doing for the year 2024. The idea was to provide examples of how you can take a few seconds to pause and be mindful or observe and be aware of things in your life.
I experimented with the idea first to make sure it was possible to do. So each day whenever I pause to check something out for a few seconds, I take a quick picture of it.
For a while now we have been putting a post out each Wednesday. It turned out November had an extra one. We did not have an article ready yet so since I already started experimenting with taking quick snapshots with the phone I threw a mindful article together and posted it.
To my surprise, it was well received by our readers. Thank you for your comments and likes. Bottom line, it looks like I will be going ahead and keeping the series going. Being December the theme is super easy peezy. Christmas, Christmas and oh did I mention Christmas?
So here you go a few moments of mindfulness pictures I took using a phone. So some pictures might be blurry or something. The main point is to give you ideas and examples of ways you could pause and be aware of the moment even if only for 5-10 seconds.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Christmas can be a very busy time of the year. You make special trips to the stores looking for gifts and things to get for friends and family. The stores are busy with other people buying stuff as well. You forget things and need to go to the grocery store to make sure you have all you need to make a nice Christmas dinner. Streets are busy with cars and people. You get the idea. Perhaps you’re saying to yourself ‘Been there, done that.’
Well, to combat the stress of running around while on the way home we decided to take a drive around and check out the Christmas lights. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy the evening. One of the images here just looks like some white light on some trees. What it really is, is the entire street was this way. The trees are huge. I have no idea how they got those lights up there. However, it looks so cool driving under them.
CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

It isn’t Christmas unless there are decorations everywhere. Outside you have lights, snowmen, and lawn creatures of all sorts. Well, same with the inside too, decorations everywhere. Now the items I am showing you here were my grandmother’s. They have been displayed each year since I was only little. Simple, cute little plastic reindeer, Santa house, & snowman castle. The green boot I think was an Avon perfume bottle. Taking time to notice and appreciate little trinkets like these helps with maintaining warm memories of loved ones gone by.
CHRISTMAS CRAFTS

Doing Christmas crafts is a great way to relax. All the items in these photos were created by Roze. When you take the time to create something, you spend quality time in the here and now. For example, the picture of the C & T are letters made from old buttons. The one with the brown background is snowflakes and bookmarks. For some of the adults, she made little angels for decorations. Last but not least little dolls for the little one’s in our life. So this Christmas when you receive a gift that was made by hand please take a moment to be mindful of how long it took to make that gift for you. Think about it, a person is not going to spend hours creating something for you if they didn’t think you are worth it. It’s their way of letting you know you are important in their life. Crafts require time, effort, and patience. Cherish the thoughts behind the gift.
Thank you very much for taking the time to come and visit RazzWorks. And remember time flies faster than you realize so cherish every moment. That’s what mindfulness is all about. Have a very merry Christmas and a super new year and for those who don’t celebrate this holiday have a happy holiday season wherever you are and whatever you are celebrating..
