Using Power Words, Phrase, & Expressions is AWESOME

Written by:

Sometimes we just need a boost to get excited about doing something. This is where having a power word, power phrase, mantra, or words of wisdom comes in. You know what I’m referring to; a personal catchphrase or motto. I believe we all should have at least one catchphrase, mantra, or whatever you want to call it. One of mine is ‘Every little bit helps.’ I use this phrase alot in my head and sometimes out loud. This is because I deal with fatigue alot. This phrase helps me to do something, anything, and accept the fact that I can’t always do everything. So what I’m suggesting is for you to find or make up a line that means something to you. Then use your words, let them cause you to get excited to do something.

Why YOU SHOULD use a Power Phrase

Use whatever power phrase, or mantra works for you to give you that spark of energy to go one step further. You know what I mean, something that makes you get excited, or gives you a little boost. Perhaps it’s your way to express things with confidence so there is no doubt in other people’s minds. For example, when someone asks me if they can borrow or use something or they are asking a favour, instead of a simple ‘yes’ I will say ‘Absolutely!’. It lets them know with a single word that I have no problem at all with what they are asking.

The best way you can give yourself that little push is to use your words every opportunity you get. Some little power phrase you like. It will even help you to maintain a positive attitude throughout your day, or give you a boost when you really need one. Working hard getting things done can sometimes become a little exhausting. You might be working extremely hard to reach a goal or accomplish an important task. When you use your words, whether it’s a mantra, motto, or even a figure of speech you really like you become your own cheerleader or pep squad. There won’t always be someone around to give you that little push you need, so why not do it for yourself?

The power phrase you come up with can also help you protect yourself from negative thoughts and/or keep a poor attitude from creeping in. If you want to be successful, you need to use your words to stay positive and know that you can do it. You might say “I’ve got this!” or “Nothing is impossible”. Especially when you reach a point where it’s difficult to make it over some little hurdle or plateau. Or maybe you have to deal with some rejection of some sort. A handy power phrase like “Never give up!” will help you persevere by giving you the motivation you need to keep pushing forward. Having catchphrases, and power words is how you create and maintain a positive mindset that will help maintain or increase the energy and optimism in your life. The point I’m trying to make is whatever phrases or words you come up with or like, make sure to use your words, use them to get excited, so they can help you with that little push, or nudge that you need.

Should you use Power Phrases instead of Affirmations?

Just so you know I am in no way saying not to use affirmations. As a matter of fact, positive affirmations can be very powerful for bettering yourself. Really helpful if you combine them with making affirmation cards so you can see them. The thing is, affirmations can only help to a certain degree. Also if you completely rely on them, they can start getting boring. Switch them up as often as possible to help alleviate that. I am just suggesting that you create for yourself some power phrases to give you a little better edge. The greatest thing about your own power word(s) is that when you come up with something you really like, it is much easier to remember.

Use a STRONG EXPRESSION Word other than YES

Absolutely
Go for it
Wouldn’t have it any other way
I would love too
Most definitely 100%

Say a CATCH PHRASE to help BOOST YOUR COURAGE

ANYTHING is possible
No harm in trying
Today is MY DAY
OH this will be Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
Superstar yeah that’s me, SUPERSTAR!

MOTTOS you can say to give you a Little ENERGY

AWESOME
Pitt-er Patter let’s get at her
READY or not here I come
Watch Out World, I coming through
SWEET I’m almost there

Try a Simple Mantra to Help Get You Started

5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Here I GO
I CAN do this, looks EASY
And the Monkey Flips the Switch
Every little bit helps
May as well DO IT and get it DONE

So come up with a power phrase or line you really like, something that helps you get excited. Then tomorrow when you start your day. Use your words and give yourself that little jolt of mental adrenaline. Make sure it’s something that you believe or feel within. By the way, you can choose a bunch of them if you want to. There is no limit on how many power phrases a person can have. Perhaps you already have one. Then come up with another one. If the phrase gives you the motivation to go further, get excited and try harder, or the confidence to do something that helps you to strive for greatness then why not go ahead and use your words, mottos, lines, etc., as many as you want, and use them as often as you want.

Do you have a power phrase, catchphrase, mantra, motto, expression,…. that you use? I’m interested to hear what it is. Tell us in the comments and don’t forget to follow if you haven’t already.

Finding a power phrase is such a great idea! It’s like having your own personal cheerleader in your corner, ready to give you the extra push when you need it most.
For me, my power phrase is “everything happens for a reason.”
I’ll say it, especially when I’m trying to do something, and it’s not going my way. The phrase has been my guiding light through life’s ups and downs. It reminds me to trust the journey and believe that there is a greater purpose behind every experience, even if it’s not immediately apparent.
It helps me stay positive and resilient, knowing that setbacks and challenges are just stepping stones, leading me to something better.
