Our lives can become so busy with so much to do. For our mental wellness, it’s important to learn to slow down. However, with all the busyness it can be hard to do. Do you find sometimes your mind seems to go out of control with all the things you need to remember and do? Your focus gets scattered because you’re doing too many things at once. In this issue, we are going to look into some of the ways you can help relieve that stress and anxiety due to too much on your mind. So let’s take a look at what can be done to ease your mind from all the tension of trying to keep up with the world and everything in it.

Reducing Mental Stress When You Have A Busy Life

Are you always in a rush? You’re here, there, everywhere, can’t stay long, gotta go. Panic that you’re not going to be on time. Your blood is boiling, heart racing. If you don’t slow down you’re going to hurt yourself seriously.
The world will not end because you’re not the first to show up. Slow down and practice pacing yourself. It will improve your mental wellness because you will feel calmer, and more relaxed. So take a breather, enjoy life, and don’t be in such a rush all the time.

When it comes to dealing with stress and situations over the years many of us have picked up some bad habits along the way. How we deal with issues isn’t the same for everyone. Some of the more common methods are things like; drinking, smoking, and eating. As well there are many more that are not as common but just as unhealthy.
Worse is that many of these methods for dealing with stress and anxiety can have a very negative effect on both the physical and mental wellness of the individual. Quitting a bad habit is ideal, however, not everyone can stop a habit just like that. So try substitution. Trade it in for a better habit like; a hobby, the gym, stretches, walking or jogging, biking, self-reflection, mindfulness, or journaling. Find something that interests you and still allows you to relieve stress and anxiety.

Many of us are so busy that we feel we can not stop even to collect our thoughts. You spend your whole day go-go-go and then go to bed all stressed out. Then we have trouble sleeping, waking up and go-go-go again.
Make a point of taking a 15-30 second breather. Pause throughout your day and just take a deep breath. It takes less than 30 sec however it will help you to calm your mind and regain a sense of control. After a couple of days of doing this, you might be surprised to find you can even have as much as 60-90 seconds. When that happens use the time to simply be aware, be mindful, and just observe things with no judgment for a quick moment.

With so much to do we learn to multitask. In some areas, it may be great and required. However, in other areas there can be a trade-off; lack of focus. Other times you end up with a bunch of things only partially done or worse, done with errors.
In areas where you do multi-tasking, check to see if something should be taken out and prioritized. Do that item first giving your full mental focus and if possible, work at it until it’s finished.

Some people in life seem to never stop. Continually moving like a shark, as if not moving forward all the time is going to cause them to die. Maybe you are one of these people, company comes over and you hardly sit down, you’re always puttering away at something.
If you’re serious about creating a simpler healthy lifestyle for your personal well-being then at some point you’re going to have to learn to stop and be still for a moment. Being super busy and go-go-go all the time is not healthy for your mental wellness. Learn to stop and do nothing but be here in the moment. The here and now. Listen to your heartbeat, relax, and do nothing other than appreciate the good in your life and around you.

Use these techniques and methods to help you regain control of your mental wellness in this hectic busy world. The world will not slow down for you however you can choose the pace you are most comfortable with. By using these ideas you will be more mentally stable to handle what the world throws at you. Always remember looking after yourself is not selfish, rather it is vital due to the fact that you only have this one life. So make the best of it, enjoy it, and look after yourself, while making your way through it pursuing whatever it is you’re after.
