When it comes to suggesting 100 positive affirmations I realize that those who are currently using them use them for various reasons. Not only that, they already have their own system of how they use them well established. So I am quite aware that to some my information may not be applicable. However, you have to keep in mind that many may either be considering or have only been using them for a short while, and these are the people I am speaking to when I write this post.
There is one other group who may find this to be helpful. These are the people who are using these statements every day however are starting to feel it is not working for them. Before you give up I believe what I have to say could very well change your mind.
So let’s get into the reasons why I suggest you should have a list of 100 positive affirmations.

First off, having 100 positive affirmations written down gives you a starting point or baseline. Do you need exactly 100 positive affirmations? Likely not. You may only need a few, like 50 to 75 or less. You only want to work on one specific thing and be super focused to get there. Some will most definitely need more than 100 positive affirmations because 100 is just not enough. For some, it’s because they want a different one every day of the year. For others it could be they want to work on many aspects of their life. So starting out, having a written list of 100 positive affirmations give you a good amount to work with. With time and practice, you can either remove, change, or add as needed.
There are a variety of reasons why having 100 positive affirmations is a good base point in the beginning. The key reason is that everybody is different, and you want to make sure you end up with a list that personally works for you.
If you were to only start with 1 or 2, you could, and most likely would, get bored with them and perhaps stop using them completely. Sure, they may have made you feel great in the beginning, but over time they started to lose their power and just became words: dull and empty. By creating or finding a list of 100 positive affirmations, you decrease the odds of getting tired of them.

This list of 100 positive affirmations now gives you the ability to switch things up. If you make sure you even include some in other areas of your life you would like to improve, you are less likely to get bored with the same old saying. For example, let’s say you choose ‘I am successful.’ Well, what do you think would help you to be more successful? People skills, writing, negotiating, strength? Whatever it is, perhaps you should write some with those things down and keep them in mind. ‘I am good with people which helps me to succeed’. ‘I am grateful for my strength because it brings me success.’ ‘I am learning to write better and better every day.’ You get the idea. This allows you to change things around to keep your statements fresh and more powerful for you.
This brings me to my next point. Having 100 positive affirmations allows you to include various categories. You can include categories that help support your main reason or purpose, and you could even have some on a completely different subject. There are all kinds of categories you can include. If you are focused on success in your work maybe consider creating some for your personal life. This will help you to create a balance so as not to burn yourself out from trying so hard to accomplish your goals. Also, you can even create categories to have on hand in case you might need them in the future. They could include things like overwhelm, stress, and grief.

Also, there is a reverse reason why I suggest you have a baseline of 100 positive affirmations. Especially if you’re just starting with them. If you’re using them for personal issues, like stress, confidence, and self-esteem having more could be overwhelming or it could be a distraction. Too many can make it harder for what you’re working on to truly sink in and take hold. To improve some things requires more time than others. Therefore you want to make sure to give it the appropriate time and attention that it deserves for it to truly help in the long run.
Now below I have provided you with 100 positive affirmations. However, due to there being various reasons why anyone uses them, they are more of a suggestion list. The other thing is that I’m aware that not everyone is at the same level when it comes to using these statements.
So to outline how I have provided the examples I have given you I wrote out 5 examples for each category. Also, to note, there are way more categories than the 20 I have listed. One last thing, I personally believe that all statements you make should be that which is true. Which line you choose is more about what level you are at. From example 1 which is building a trait or characteristic due to it being so low it’s almost not there, all the way up to example 5 where you have so much it’s overflowing so you want to share with others who could really benefit from it.

Category Name
example 1 Simple baby step one for starting out.
example 2 Statement affirming what you know is true.
example 3 You are aware and want to challenge yourself to improve more.
example 4 Reminding yourself of what you have by affirming it with thanks.
example 5 You are strong in this area and you want to share it with the world.
