Welcome to RazzWorks.com where we will be covering information about the September calendar in this article. I am Razz and I just want to give you a heads-up. My intentions for this post along with posts on the other 11 months will be an ongoing project. This means I intend to update each post with additional information over time. So please feel free to leave any suggestions or ideas you have in the comment section when you are done reading. Enjoy.

WHAT IS THE MONTH KNOWN FOR?
September has the most letters in its spelling compared to the other months. It consists of nine letters and it is the 9th month of the year. The September calendar has 30 days.
In the Southern Hemisphere, the September calendar means spring is in the air and flowers are starting to bloom. It means winter is finally over and warmer days are coming.
As for the Northern Hemisphere of the world, the September calendar month brings a nice cool breeze after a hot summer for the fall season begins, some people call it autumn. Leaves start changing colour before falling off the trees and, students start going back to school.
It is the harvest season when farmers begin to bring in their crops from the fields, and people gather ripe fruit from the trees; for example, apples. Many country homes are filled with sweet smells due to it being the pickling season, which means jars being boiled and filled with jams, jellies, pickles, and so on for storing away for the winter. Even the full moon during this month is referred to as the Harvest Moon.

HOW THE MONTH GOT IT’S NAME
The September calendar name comes from the Latin word septem. The word septem means seven. Before the Gregorian calendar that we currently use today, there was the Julian calendar. September was the 7th month on that calendar.

INTERNATIONAL GEM FOR THE MONTH
During the year most calendar months have a particular gemstone or birthstone that has been consistent over the years within two common categories. One category is referred to as traditional and another one as modern. However, over many years other lists of stones have developed for various reasons. For example, if you were to go with the bible and read about breastplate gems that represent each month. There are actually two different breastplates. Another example of a list that varies is a jewelers list. Not all jewelers use the same list so some stones can vary for a particular month. With this series of articles, I am attempting to present information that is common around the world. As I mentioned earlier I intend to update information over time. The gemstones and birthstone list is one of those areas that I will be updating in the future. For now, I will be presenting the international gemstone stone list this year.
The September calendar international Birth Gemstone for the month is the blue sapphire. The sapphire gem can come in different colors however the blue sapphire is for the month of September.
